Relocating With A GPS
Moving Tips

My family had recently got a big 7 passenger vehicle rental in Atlanta when we had to travel there for some family things. As we were traveling out of the city hopelessly trying to get ourselves situated traveling in the right direction I noticed something, my family wasn’t arguing. My sister was in the back seat watching a video on an over head DVD player, while I was doing reading for school.

This was typical of road trips, what wasn’t typical was that my mother and father were somehow not screaming at each other about the problems with navigation. What they were able to find common ground over was shouting at a little box on the front dashboard that in a very cheery yet robotic voice was continually commanding them to make a U-turn and then it would tell them to do it again once they turned around. This little box was a GPS system (standing for global positioning system). Among numerous purposes it had one that was probably unintentional by its creators; however it stopped the bickering that goes on in a car when people get lost.

The High Cost Of International Relocation For Employers
Relocation Services

Dating back to the Dutch East India Company, sending an employee to work in another country (sometimes called a "global assignment" in current HR jargon) has carried considerable costs while theoretically opening the potential for financial returns for the employer. However, companies contemplating increased expatriate placements, within their home countries (inbound) or overseas in host countries, are frequently penny-wise and pound-foolish with respect to real vs perceived costs.

Perceived relocation costs are easier to identify and therefore receive the most critical attention. Real costs are the sum of all direct and indirect expenses associated with the transfer. Compounding this challenge is the current state of many corporate finance systems, which are not designed to track relocation or to assign management cost data. Relocation cuts across many areas, including travel, transportation, human resources and payroll.

Self Storage
Storage

The term "self storage" is short for "self-service storage", and is also known as "mini storage" or "mini warehouse" (archaic). Self storage facilities lease space to individuals, usually storing household goods, or to small businesses, usually storing excess inventory or archived records. The rented spaces, known as "units", are secured by the tenant's own lock and key. Facility operators do not have casual access to the contents of the space unlike a professional warehouseman.

A self storage operator never takes possession, care, custody or control of the contents of the storage rental space unless a lien is imposed as provided in self storage laws for non-payment of rent. Self storage facility operators usually provide computer-controlled access to rental space areas and many use security cameras.
